My Great Strides Story

My name is Lindsay Nooner. I am a wife to an amazing husband and mama to the cutest baby boy. And believe it or not I am 31 years old living my best life with Cystic Fibrosis.

 I have a double copy of the F508 gene. I was diagnosed at 13 and what a scary world CF seemed to be back then. I'll be the first to admit doing my treatments and taking my medicine is the LAST thing I wanted to do. Thankfully with the help of those that love me the most I grew up and finally started taking my disease seriously. 

That is when I found this life changing medicine called Trikafta. Since starting Trikafta I barely cough, I have no issues keeping weight, and I can do so much more. But the most important thing Trikafta gave me was the gift of motherhood. 

If it weren't for programs like Great Stides and the CF Foundation I can't imagine where my life would be. I am eternally grateful to God, my family and friends, and every person who donates to programs like Great Strides and The CF Foundation that allows continued research for this disease.
