Six Feet Apart - Face Masks - Quarantine - Hand Washing - Social Distancing - PPE
Since early March, these concepts have become the framework of our daily lives. It’s not a fun way to live, but we have accepted it in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus to ourselves, family, friends and community. And in just a very small way, you can now appreciate what it’s like to live with CYSTIC FIBROSIS.
CF is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. In the lungs, sticky and thick mucus clogs the airways and traps germs, like bacteria, leading to infections, inflammation, respiratory failure, and other complications. For this reason, minimizing contact with germs is a top concern for people with CF.
I know that many of you have been impacted financially by these challenging times – so if you are able, I would be so grateful for a gift of any size to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Your contribution will help add tomorrows to the lives of people with CF by supporting groundbreaking research and medical progress towards a cure. Thank you!!
