I’m walking until CF stands for Cure Found!

I am Jackie Parfet. I am walking for a Cure for Cystic Fibrosis this Saturday, June 1, 2024 10:00 am again.  This year I am walking in Arizona, where I live. I will do the walk around our 20 acre property until I do 3 miles.

Steve and Tammie Babbitt are graduates from Point Loma Nazarene University. Their son has Cystic Fibrosis. Tammie explains it all so much better than I do:

James turns 22 this year. 

James was admitted to Radys I  May 2019 with lung function in the 50s - his lowest lung function ever.  He was hospitalized again for the 38th time in July. There was talk of the possibility of needing a lung transplant in the next 5-10 years. 

On his 17th birthday, Trikafta was FDA approved. James started taking it soon after. Within a week his lung function was at 92. He has been able to maintain lung function in the 80s with no hospitalizations going on 4 years now!

THIS is life changing!

THIS is what we've been praying for and why we've been participating in Great Strides all these years.

We keep walking even when James is healthy because we want every individual with CF to have an experience like James's.

Trikafta doesn't work for everyone with CF.

We're in this until it's done. For everyone.
