Thank you for visiting Evelyn's Entourage donation page! Evelyn is a sassy 10 year old Cystic Fibrosis superhero living on the east coast still. She has been responding amazingly to her new medications and is in school in person.
Evelyn LOVES a good story, and her story is a good one. A week before her due date she made a surprise entrance into this world in the front seat of a Mazda in the hospital parking lot. With all the confusion of her vehicular birth the results of her infant screenings were overlooked and she was not diagnosed with CF until her 4 month check up. At that point she had failed to gain weight for 4 weeks and was categorized a failure to thrive baby.
Thus began the CF journey of medications, hospital stays, a nasal feeding tube, a gastric feeding tube placement surgery, and the introduction of multiple treatments and therapies. Evelyn is currently on 10 different medications and does 2-4 airway treatments a day. Still, her case is deemed mild compared to other kids with CF her age.
No matter what we throw at her, Evelyn remains a bright light of joy in a sea of challenges. She loves to color, dance, write/preform songs, ride bikes, and makes friends where ever she goes.
When she grows up she wants to be an architect princess rock star. With your help and support there is no doubt she can do it all. Thank you for adding tomorrows, her epic story is just beginning.
