It's a crazy year and even though this year's walk has been cancelled, the fight and the struggle goes on. Lucas had his first hospital stay since last year's walk and it was a real jolt for most of us. Overall he is doing well but it was a reminder how quickly it can change - a very real reality check. Lucas continues to do well...as long as he keeps up his millions of meds and his twice-daily treatments which consist of sitting with his "shaker vest" and inhaling his nebulizer for 30 minutes at a time. Not an easy task to sit that long for a 7 year old. This is so important that we keep fighhting this horrible disease because we never know how long this wonderful period in Lucas' life is going to last. Please help us celebrate.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
