Hello all,
- For those of you who do not know my personal Cystic Fibrosis Story, I will give you a brief synopsisI am the middle of three girls; my two sisters Alexandra (33) and Carley (27) were both born with Cystic Fibrosis (CF).
- In 2015, our experience with CF took a quick, dark turn as the disease advanced and Alexandra (25 at the time) fell into respiratory failure. A long, emotional story cut short she ultimately received a double lung transplant. She is now 8.5 years post transplant, married her incredible husband, Alex, (who stood by her side throughout her transplant) and they have now welcomed their first child.
- Carley continues to thrive with medication advancements including Trikafta, which has significantly improved her overall respiratory function. She is newly married to her supportive husband, Michael; and works as a full-time pediatric nurse at Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester.
-While our story is one of success, that is not always the case. Please consider joining Argentieri's Avengers, joining us on May 19th and donating in support of our fight to make CF stand for Cure Found.
