Will you consider joining our team and helping to add tomorrows?
We are living in an amazing time right now in the Cystic FIbrosis world! There is currently a life changing drug out there that has shown tremendous results. While not a cure for CF, it is a giant step in the right direction. You know where it came from? People like you who donated money to fund research! Thank you! If you'd like to walk with us or donate today, let me know!
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. We walk for them. Will you join us? All we need you to do to become a member of our team is click on the 'Join our Team' button. From there you can make a donation and start your fundraising.
By becoming a member of our team and making a donation, you are joining a growing group of people committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. Together, we are adding tomorrows to the lives of people living with CF by supporting the search for a cure.
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
Our daughter, Kendall has Cystic Fibrosis (CF). She has had a very good year since our last fundraising effort in 2019. She is on her daily regimen of breathing treatments and medications which help her out immensely. She now knows her daily routine and practically tells us how to do treatments and tube feeds. We attend quarterly check-ups to help keep her healthy and in good shape.
Kendall is ten years old now and is an energetic and happy girl. It has been a big year for her since the last fundraising season.......she started fifth grade! She has been doing great in intermediate school and really does enjoy all the new friends and her new teachers who have been fun to learn from!
Her favorite things are her Ipod, Nintendo Switch and reading! She is currently reading graphic novels of all kinds. She loves playing with our dog Brutus and entertains us with the funny things she has to say. She likes to participate in dance classes during the week from August through June! They keep her active! Kendall joined the competition dance team last year and this is her second season with Take the Stage. She will be traveling on select weekends to perform!!
Kendall's Krew is made up of both family and friends. Last year we participated in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Canton Great Strides Walk along with help from teams in Florida, Indiana and Colorado all walking in Kendall's name.
New drugs have been coming out that truly help those with CF! Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking today, we are to helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join us?

Foundation-Sponsored Indoor and Outdoor Events and Gatherings
The Foundation is closely following the evolving coronavirus outbreak. We will continue to monitor coronavirus guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and assess whether we need to change any scheduled events.
To reduce the risk of getting and spreading germs at CF Foundation-sponsored events, we ask that everyone follow basic best practices by regularly cleaning your hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel, covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your inner elbow, and maintaining a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection. Medical evidence shows that germs may spread among people with CF through direct and indirect contact, as well as through droplets that travel short distances when a person coughs or sneezes. These germs can lead to worsening symptoms and speed decline in lung function.
To further help reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation's attendance policy recommends inviting only one person with CF to attend the indoor portion of a Foundation-sponsored event at a specific time. For the outdoor portion, the Foundation recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times.
