Cohen's Story
Cohen is the kind of kid that you just can't help but like hanging out with. He is quick to share, extremely loyal, will always help a friend, and has a funny and trickster streak to him.
He has continued to rise to the challenge of living with Cystic Fibrosis and fights it head-on - sometimes with tears of frustration and sometimes with sheer determination and grit.
Once a year we go on the offensive against this brutal disease. We surround Cohen with family and friends. We take to the sidewalk to show him how much he matters. We raise money to keep miraculous medicines coming down the pipeline. These medicines have saved Cohen's life multiple times.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. By participating in Great Strides, we are helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF.
Cystic fibrosis affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated, leading to serious health issues.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going.
Your support makes a difference.
