Cystic fibrosis, a life-threatening genetic disease, progressively limits a person's ability to breathe, limits their absorbtion of nutrients leading to slow growth and low weight in children, and causes minor infections to become serious dangers. Approximately 30,000 children and adults and 70,000 people worldwide are living and struggling with CF. Yet there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short because of it.
My cousin Scott recently passed away at the age of 58 after a long and difficult battle with CF.
And little Tavie, whom I am a caregiver for, is living with CF now.
I'm walking to raise money and awareness for them and for all the others who have or will be diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Will you join me and support my Great Strides fundraising goal?
By contributing to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or walking in Great Strides, you can help accelerate the Foundation’s pursuit of new therapies and provide vital support to meet the needs of the CF community.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal in support of all persons with CF and their loved ones!
