Toby was born in 2008 with Cystic Fibrosis. He is an exuberant teenager who loves Dungeons and Dragons, bike rides, and trying new foods. Toby is very lucky. He was diagnosed at an early age and has had access to some of the most cutting edge medications to help clear his lungs and correct the genetic mutation that causes CF. The new medication, Trikafta, has been a game changer for Toby's lungs and general health. But even with Trikafta, Toby needs a multitude of medicaitons and twice daily respiratory therapies to maintain his health. CF is a progressive disease, and will continue to impact his life. In addition, not all of the people with CF are eligible for genetic therapies like Trikafta.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By participating today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join us? Support me by making a donation to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!
Great Strides this year has been replaced by Great Rides, a car parade in Portland. Although we will not attend the event in person, we plan to gather our team and on May 8 have them, wherever they are, spend some time outdoors, excercising their bodies and especially their lungs. Lung function is something we can never take for granted.
Please help us reach our fundraising goals by donating to our Great Strides/Great Rides fundraising campaign. Your gift will help add tomorrows to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis by supporting life-saving research and medical progress. Your gift is 100-percent tax deductible.
