If you are new to Team Eddy, here is our story…Maureen & Kelly, now 25 and 22, were diagnosed with cystic fibrosis 22 years ago – a few days after Kelly was born. Each year since then, we have asked our friends and family to join us in raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). The CFF is our best hope for finding new treatments that will lead to better health and a long life for Maureen & Kelly.
Life with cystic fibrosis has been a bumpy road, filled with daily therapy, thousands of pills to swallow, doctors’ appointments, procedures and hospitalizations. Maureen & Kelly have navigated the ups and downs of that bumpy road like champions. In 2019, a new highly effective therapy for the underlying cause of cystic fibrosis was approved for people with CF who have the F508del mutation (Maureen & Kelly’s mutation). Since taking Trikafta, both Maureen & Kelly have experienced a huge improvement in their health. This year, Kelly graduated from the University of Vermont and Maureen got engaged to Brandon Tieso! We are grateful to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - and to our community of friends and family for helping to make these milestones happen for our family
We invite you to join us on September 15th, or if you can't make it to Burlington, make a donation to the CFF and walk wherever you are - every dollar helps. We are getting closer to realizing our dream of finding a cure for CF.
We are grateful for the support of our friends and family! Go Great Strides 2024!
Wishing you all Good Health!
Team Eddy - Maureen, Kelly, Jonathan & Laurie
