Finding a Cure for Calvin
My son Calvin was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis on his first birthday. Ever since then, he has been surrounded by an army of people supporting him, loving him, and doing everything they can to help fight this disease. Unfortunately, he has also gone through constant struggles with illness, demanding treatments, and many doctor's visits. I am riding so that Calvin's life can change. Medical treatment and research has changed so much through the last several decades but there is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. By participating in CF Cycle for Life, I am helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF.
People with CF live longer than ever before and Calvin has an optimistic future. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going.
