Eight years ago our family was blessed with our beautiful daughter, Isabella Oakley. Isabella lives with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). She has a great smile and laughs and her happy personality is a gift to our family. She is healthy and growing well.

That is why we are riding in the CF Cycle for Life event on October 19, 2024. All money raised to support our team goes directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. 

Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) is the largest private foundation that serves children and adults who live with CF. The foundation's mission is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment, and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care. CFF has invested hundreds of millions of dollars into CF research and drug development. The results of these bold investments have been astonishing. Because of CFF efforts, people with cystic fibrosis are living longer, healthier lives and pursuing dreams they never before thought possible.

Our family strongly believes that a cure will be found. In fact, we are excited about a new game-changing medicine that is now available to her (Trikafta). However, Trikafta is not a total cure and there are people with Cystic Fibrosis who can not take Trikafta. We will not stop until we have found a cure. We are empowered by the fact that so many people are fighting with us.
