This cause is very close to my heart.‚ Cystic Fibrosis has been a part of my life for 48 years. I was diagnosed at 18 months old.‚ Most of my life, I was very active, able to play any sport I wanted to and live a normal life, other than needing to take all kinds of medications and beathing treatments.‚ Unfortunately, the disease caught up to me, as it does with many CF patients.‚ My lung function started to decline and I suddenly faced with not being able to do the things I grew accustomed to, like sports, but even worse, I was unable to do anything, even simple tasks, without great effort, with help, or being very short of breath.‚ I was then placed on the transplant list in April of 2016 with 15% lung capacity and diminishing oxygen levels.‚ On November 1st, I received my life saving transplant and once again, thanks to my angel donor and their family, I am able to do things I have not been able to in many years.‚ I am able to play and do things with my 9 year old daughter, things we've both been waiting to do for the‚ past few years.‚ I am riding to help support others with this terrible disease and hope to one day find a cure for good.‚ This disease is even more personal for me as I have a brother (45), a cousin (27), a best friends daughter,‚ and a close friend, who also have CF.

There are approximately 30,000 people living in the United States with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I ride for them, and hope that you will support me in my efforts.

Although tremendous progress has been made in the search for a permanent cure for cystic fibrosis, the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short.‚ There still is no cure for this devastating disease.
