Dear Family & Friends with the Target on Your Back,
Once again, my buddy Matt is leading a bicycle team, named “The Sprokettes”, for the 2023 MA Cycle For Life (CFL) which is a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). You may recall how last year I started buttering you all up by noting how the CFF is a cause dear enough for me to shamelessly hit-up my family & friends for a donation.
Then how I shifted gears (bad bicycling pun intended) by breaking out the smoke & mirrors and then veering into the well trodden psychological tropes to trick you into spending some of your hard earned money to sponsor me on going for a fun 30-mile bike ride. Pretty silly when you stop and think about it ...
Same dealio as last year though, The CFF suggests me trying to meet a minimum fundraising goal of $200.00 for my team. I wrote and mailed a check for $250.00 into the Mass CFF Chapter Office in Natick so I could at least look my teammates in the eye the day of the ride this coming September 30th. So, if I can sucker at least ten (10) of you folks into coughing-up at least $25.00 bucks, then I could double down and hit my goal to raise $500.00 for the CFF.
