On October 5th I will again be riding the Cycle for Life bike ride fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis. This will be the FINAL ride after 27 years (I have ridden for the past 24 years)  from the Holliston location!  They are moving the event to a new location closer to the CF lab in Lexington, Mass.!

It has been an honor during this time for Patty and me to be so involved in a great event for a charity we have been so close to during that time.  While we have not decided what we will do in the future it will not include being so involved in the organization and event coordination as we during the past 25 years .

For those who are not aware Patty and I have been involved in fundraising efforts for CF for 35+ years. Patty more than I, as I participate and do what I am told (shocking I know!) Patty has been the behind the scenes organizing person. Patty actually went into labor with our oldest (Matt) while on a CF walk back in 1991!

The CF battle has seen positive results with the introduction of gene therapies that are having significant improvements for certain individuals with the CF gene. While there has been meaningful progress there is still a lot of work ahead to provide a road map for possible future therapies for a wider group. So, your donations are going to good use!
