Welcome to our Dashing for Dash page!

Our son Dash is 9 years old! He is sweet and creative and funny and kind. He loves building Legos, drawing and Minecraft.  He is a green belt in karate, a beautiful piano player and a master of climbing trees.  And he has Cystic Fibrosis. And so we dash for him. We dash so that he might continue to live this life with a hope for a future.

This year finds us awaiting the FDA's approval of a new medicine for CF. With this new medicine approved, we pray Dash will gain more weight and keep his lungs clear of bacterial infections without giving him adverse side effects. I'm again grateful that there are wonderful scientists and advocates creating new treatments for my child. I'm grateful that there are antibiotics that have been specifically created for the bacteria he is growing in his lungs. And I'm grateful that this dear boy loves Minecraft and has a brother to play it with him so he doesn't feel the burden of doing 2-3 hours of treatment a day. There are good things coming ahead for Dash because of the work of the CF Foundation. So we will ride again!
