My CF Cycle for Life Story

Hello! I am Samuel. I was diagnosed with Cystic fibrosis and asthma when I was 18 days old.  When I was born, my life expectancy was only 38 years old BUT now, with research dollars, that lifespan has increased substantially.  

Nearly 40,000 people in the United States have cystic fibrosis: a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Many more across the globe also have the disease and many go undiagnosed especially in poorer countries. 

We are getting closer to a cure everyday! Doctors just recently found treatments that can significantly reduce the effects of CF.

So far my family, myself, and our networks have raised over 1 million dollars together.  This money raised fuels the research that prolongs lives and works towards a cure.
