Hi Everyone, I'm doing it again! This is, what, the 9th year in a row now?? Wow. That means many of you are already aware of what the CFF has meant to my health journey. 

Since last time, I've taken a new position at Loyola Hospital in Maywood, IL, home of John Prine, and the same hospital where I was diagnosed and treated as an infant by the incredible Dr. Lewis Gibson. My commute has me cycling about twelve miles through deer-filled neighborhoods, a cemetery where I was chased by the groundskeeper's pit bull, and very near Tim Daly's house in lovely River Forest (I need to stop by and say hi!). It is a daily reminder of the advancements in medical care made possible by efforts like this one, and I'm lucky to be a part of it. It's humbling. The research continues to make even more progress.

Nikki & I continue to find joy in our vocations. Her work with childhood epilepsy is going great, and the center at Lurie Children's Hospital is growing. I've taken a more wide ranging position that includes inpatient care and a grant clinic for children on medicaid. I love it. If we see any of you at the ride, we will have stories to share!
