Welcome to my Page
My daughter Bridget is 12 years old, and she is an amazing kid. She loves to travel, play with her cats & dogs, go camping, read, and climb trees. She also has a genetic condition called Cystic Fibrosis. Bridget was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) when she was born. If you met her today, you would never know she has a life shortening genetic disease that has no cure. Bridget is a typical eleven year old girl, but she spends an hour each day when she is healthy trying to prevent irreversible lung damage by using her percussion vest and nebulizers. She takes more than 20 pills a day. Last year she was diagnosed with CF Related Diabetes (CFRD) and now requires insulin shots and continuous glucose monitoring every day to keep her blood sugar under control. Bridget fights hard every day so she will be as healthy as possible when her “cure” is found! We ask for your support to help her and other people who live with CF, in the fight to find their "cure"!
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. Several major breakthroughs have happened in the past few years, but none of those work for Bridget's specific CF. Although these breakthroughs give us hope that her time is coming.
By cycling, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my CF Cycle for Life fundraising campaign today!
