Max is 19 and loves to ride!  He also has CYSTIC FIBROSIS. This year MAX will again be riding 100 miles  in the "Cycle For Life" a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis (CF). The fact that MAX rode it last year at such a competitive pace is a testament to the success of the fundraising enabling better treatments and progress towards a cure.

 Approximately 40,000 children and adults  in the United States have CF and approximately 100,000 world wide. CF is a rare life-threatening genetic disease that currently has no cure. Because it affects such a small percentage of the population it gets very little funding and research from pharmaceutical companies. CF is an orphan disease. The CF Foundation was created to not only raise funds but to best direct those funds to the most promising research. This has helped the CF foundation extend the average life expectancy into the 50's. Unfortunately some never make it that far, and despite the advancements in treatments and medication, there is still no cure. Sponsoring Max will help raise the funds to find better treatments, medications and to FIND THAT CURE!
