The second virtual event I am participating in is the CF Cycle for Life. As a virtual event, some of the challenges are to ride every day for 65 days, or to ride 650 miles over the two month event. To date I have completed 45 consecutive days and over 1,000 miles.
There are approximately 30,000 people living in the United States with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I ride for them, and hope that you will support me in my efforts.
Although tremendous progress has been made in the search for a permanent cure for cystic fibrosis, the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By cycling, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of all people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my CF Cycle for Life fundraising campaign today!
Here is my challenge. For the first $250 donated to either the Cycle for Life or the ConnectiCare Gran Fondo, I will send a matching donation to the Cancer Care Fund of the Litchfield Hills. That organization provides support to those battling cancer, and cancer has not taken this year off in spite of COVID. COVID did, however, cause the majore fundraiser for the past 17 years (The Tour of the Litchfield Hills) to be cancelled.
CF Cycle for Life is a unique event that empowers cyclists to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis in a tangible, yet emotional way.
Help me reach my fundraising goal, and I'll send a check to the Cancer Fund of the Litchfield Hills!
