Hopefully this year the heavy rain will not dampen the Cystic Fibrosis Cycle for Life bike ride. Your support and donations really are an inspiration that give me the drive to continue pushing myself to complete the 15 mile course. I watch my granddaughter cope with her daily breathing treatments and workouts and I also see her making great strides that would not be possible with out all the support that's provided by the CF foundation. She just turned 6 but has run in the kids 5k marathon and 2 5k runs. The runs are a great way to help keep her lungs strong.     There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I ride for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.

Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By cycling, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis.  Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my CF Cycle for Life fundraising campaign today!

The CF Cycle for Life is a unique event that empowers cyclists to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis in a tangible, emotional and powerful way.

About Cystic Fibrosis:
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an inherited chronic disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States. More than 10 million people) are "carriers" of the defective CF gene. CF causes repeat and chronic lung infections and difficulty digesting food and nutrients. The average life expectancy is 37 years of age—there is no cure.

This is a historic time in the fight against cystic fibrosis. Recently, the CF Foundation has developed a new drug- Kalydeco- that targets the basic genetic defect causing CF. The passing of this new drug by the FDA opens many doors for future research and creates new hope for all afflicted. Now, more than ever before, we must continue to raise funds in support of a cure for cystic fibrosis.

This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their commitment to finding a cure.
