About CF Cycle for Life
Get your wheels in motion and #RideForAReason! Join us for our 8th annual bicycle event as we ride through some of the most picturesque and scenic terrain in Western Pennsylvania. CF Cycle For Life is a fully supported 30 and 60 mile ride and introducing Lake Laps! If you are not ready to tackle the big roads on our 30 and 60 ride, we will cheer you on as you lap the 5 mile shore line of North Park Lake as many times as you can! This is the most fun you’ll have on two wheels - from our complimentary pre-ride breakfast to our Finish Line Festival; you are extremely taken care of! You can enjoy fully stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, bike mechanics for bicycle maintenance and repair, ride marshals to cheer you along the way, and plenty of support vehicles to help you complete the ride.
This unique ride empowers cyclists to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis in a tangible, emotional, and powerful way!
Before the ride, we’ll provide:
- Training rides and events to help you prepare
- Online participant center to ensure fundraising success
- Monthly newsletters with training tips, fundraising ideas, etc.
At the event, we’ll provide:
- Complimentary breakfast
- Stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles with food & beverages
- Support and gear (SAG) vehicles
- Bike mechanics
After you cross the Finish Line, we’ll provide:
- Commemorative long sleeve t-shirt
- Finish Line pasta bar
- Live entertainment
- Beer garden (21+)
- Free massages
- Lawn games
You can cycle as an individual or gather your friends, family, and/or colleagues to join you as a team (minimum of 4 cyclists per team). The Pittsburgh CF Cycle for Life provides for a meaningful team building experience for any corporate group!
The Pittsburgh CF Cycle for Life is a pledge based event. In addition to the registration fee, we require all cyclists to raise a minimum fundraising amount of $200 to participate. Your support allowed us to raise over $67,000 in 2019 to further develop better care and treatment to improve the quality of life for those living with CF. With your help, we can reach our 2020 goal of $70,000!
Want to become further involved? Sponsors, Committee Members, Volunteers and, of course, riders are currently needed! For more information contact Jean Schieman at (412) 321-4422 or email email@example.com
