My CF Cycle for Life Story

Finally, I will be riding again in the Cystic Fibrosis ride in the Tri-Cities.  I have been participating in this ride since 2018.  It has been one of my most favorite bike rides I do.

However, because of a serious bicycle accident and then a stroke I had in October/November 2020, and then of course COVID, I wasn't able to participate in any bike rides.  It has been a long recovery process to be able to be back on my bike and riding again and so I am super excited to be able to participate in this ride again this year with some of the same team members I have ridden with before..

 There currently is cure for Cystic fibrosis.  It affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated, leading to serious health issues.  

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going.

This is why I participate in the CF Cycle for Life, I am helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF and to support my friends who have CF.
