Cystic fibrosis is a rare disease causing persistent lung infections and limiting the ability to breath over time. Those living with this disease are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, and co-workers --all struggling each day just to breathe and live normal, healthy lives.

Seventy five years ago, most children with cystic fibrosis did not live long enough to attend elementary school, but thanks to CF Foundation-supported  research and care,  people with CF are living into their sixties and older. Because of tremendous advancements in research, treatments, and care from support of countless donors, most people with CF are able to  realize their dreams of attending college, pursuing careers, getting married, and having kids.

While there has been significant progress in treating this disease, there is still no cure and too many lives are cut far too short.
