About Our CF Climb

Join us for the 35th Annual CF Climb in the tallest building in Albany, the Corning Tower! Climb 42 floors, or 809 steps as an individual, first responder, or as part of a four-person relay team. This year we are offering a Kids Climb, where children ages 5-12 are welcome to participate in a quarter of the tower! Whether climbing to improve your time or to simply cross the finish line, this event is a great way to spend the morning with co-workers, friends or family, while Adding Tomorrows for people with cystic fibrosis.

Individual - Individual climbs 42 floors, timed
Relay Team – 4 Individuals each climb ¼ of the way up tagging off in a relay fashion, timed
First Responder Climber – Individual climbs 42 floors wearing full gear, timed
First Responder Relay Team – 4 first responders each climb ¼ of the way up tagging off in a relay fashion wearing full turnout gear, timed
Kids Climb -- Individual climbs 1/4 of the way

$10 Flat registration fee for First Responder. Thank you for your service!

Fundraising Minimum: $150  (Except for those participating in Kids Climb, minimum is $65. Registration fees are not included in fundraising minimum.)

Minimum Pledge Requirement Policy: The minimum pledge requirement of $150 is due on or before event day. For the Kids Climb, the minimum pledge requirement is $65. If you have met your minimum pledge by the day of the event, we encourage you to keep fundraising. Reach for the stars and earn great prizes. Even though the minimum is due by the day of the event, you have one month after the event to earn great CF Climb prizes. The average amount a participant raises is $330. Registration fees are non refundable and non transferrable and do not count towards your fundraising minimum. Thank you for adding tomorrows for people with cystic fibrosis.

We can’t wait to bring the CF community together for CF Climb! Our 2023 CF Climb event will feature in-person and virtual experiences to help make a difference for people living with cystic fibrosis. 

Register. Register to participate in-person or virtually in this year’s CF Climb event and help us stay the course and advance our mission. Stay up to date on how our chapter plans to safely bring the community together and make CF stand for Cure Found by registering today.

Recruit. Recruit others to participate with you! Friends, family, and co-workers can join you virtually from anywhere in the world.

Fundraise. Fundraise online by leveraging the tools in the Participant Center, the Fight CF mobile app, and Fundraise on Facebook to reach your goal. Create a virtual passion fundraising event by developing a fundraising event through your favorite hobby, activity, or passion.

Share your Journey. Wear a CF Climb shirt, team shirt, or your Cystic Fibrosis Foundation branded apparel, while you participate with us or climb the steps in your home!  Track your activity on the Fight CF mobile app so you and your team can climb together and with others across the country. Share how you are participating by sharing your story and posting a selfie on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.  Make sure to tag the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (@CF_Foundation) and use the hashtag #CFClimb to keep the energy and momentum going strong!
