Portland Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge 2020 - Virtual Event

IMPORTANT NOTE: To protect the health and well-being of the cystic fibrosis community and CF Foundation staff during the COVID-19 outbreak, the cystic fibrosis community is finding new ways to come together through virtual experiences. While we will not be together in person, we can be together in spirit and participate virtually - showing the strength of our community and passion to find a cure for all people living with cystic fibrosis.

About CF Climb

Since 2009, over a thousand firefighters from across the country and around the world have raised over $1.5 million in the fight against cystic fibrosis through the Portland Firefighter Stairclimb. Let’s make “CF” stand for “Cure Found!”

How do I participate?

Register to Participate Virtually. While we can’t be together in person, we can be together in spirit and show the strength of our community and passion to find a cure for all people living with cystic fibrosis. There will be no registration fee this year.

Recruit. Recruit others to participate with you (at a safe distance or even from another state). Now that we are virtual, you can participate anywhere!

Fundraise. Fundraise online by leveraging the tools in the Participant Center, the mobile app, and Fundraise on Facebook to reach your goal. Create a virtual passion fundraising event around your favorite hobby, activity, or passion. Your fundraising will help us achieve the #65RosesChallenge for the CF Foundation to collectively raise $65 Million in 2020 to support progress toward our mission. One Foundation, one goal.

Take the Challenge. From Saturday, September 12 through Sunday, September 20, we encourage you to complete the challenge of your choice. You can do the Stairclimber Challenge by climbing 800 stairs (or 40 flights) and record your time OR do the Get Active Group Challenge, tracking your steps to help us reach a collective goal of 6.5 million steps by September 20th.  You can track your steps throughout the week or climb your 800 stairs all at once; either way, everyone can support the 65 Roses Challenge!

Share your Journey. Wear your Portland Firefighter Stairclimb branded t-shirt, sweatshirt, hat or helmet while you climb and get active. Share how you’re participating by sharing why you climb and posting a selfie and videos on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Make sure to tag the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (@CF_Foundation) and use the hashtags: #CFClimb, #65RosesChallenge or #Together65 to keep the energy and momentum going strong!
