Dear Friends,
We hope you and your families are well amidst the continued struggles this last year has brought us. We were saddened to have to cancel last year’s tournament. While open for golf, Sherrill Park will not allow post tournament gatherings due to local government restrictions. For that reason, we have chosen to postpone the 2021 tournament to a later date. Hopefully, we can get together this fall for an outing.
Most charitable organizations are struggling due to the cancelations of such events. Therefore, we hope you will consider a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation via Henry’s Great Strides page in the link below. With your help, we have raised over $430,000 through this golf outing over the years. We hope to continue this year with an email and letter writing campaign.
We are thrilled to report that Henry is doing great! He has been on Trikafta for about a year. His lung function has improved from 68% when he started to well into the 90% range! He no longer takes naps during the day and is very active in sports. He is gaining weight and getting taller. And, he is growing into a fine young man. We are optimistic that these amazing results will continue.
Trikafta was created through a partnership between Vertex Pharmaceuticals and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, proving that the grassroots fundraising along-side pharmaceutical companies does indeed work. Your contributions are achieving wonderful results and directly impacting the day to day life of the boy who inspired this event (and countless others).
We are extremely grateful for your past support of this event and hope you will consider making a donation at this time. We celebrate the significant victory of Trikafta and strive to further the research and development of other life enhancing therapies. I will keep you updated throughout the summer on possibly getting together for a fall tournament.
Sincerely,
David and Anna Graves
