It's May and Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month! Please help us to continue to raise funds to find better treatments and a cure for CF!
Our Emily, has cystic fibrosis. She is one of 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis (CF). CF is a progressive, genetic disease that causes long-lasting lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. It also greatly impacts digestion and most other body systems. This year, Emily was diagnosed with CF Related Diabetes due to her CF. She now must also monitor her blood sugar and take insulin shots when she eats. But we're not giving up! Today, because of improved medical treatments and care, more than half of people with CF are age 18 or older. Many people with CF can expect to live healthy, fulfilling lives into their 30s, 40s, and beyond.
Real progress has been made for many of those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. I will not stop striding until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind.
Please support us!
We are at a pivotal moment in the history of cystic fibrosis and your support matters. With your help, we can invest our resources in research today, while raising funds for tomorrow, to ensure we have what it takes to reach the finish line. Together, we can make CF stand for Cure Found. We appreciate your continued support as we work to add days, weeks, months and even years to the lives of people living with CF. Many advancements have been made, but there is still work to be done! We won’t stop until there is a cure for ALL people with Cystic Fibrosis!
Help us reach my fundraising goal by donating to my Great Strides fundraising campaign. Your gift will help add tomorrows to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis by supporting life-saving research and medical progress. Your gift is 100-percent tax deductible. Thank you for your support!
