This is second nature to us now. Pills, pills, more pills, inhaler, and throw a lung beating machine in for good measure.
The list of "How to take care of my girl if I can't" is well...
It. Is. A.Lot!
This is our walk each and every day. I remember diagnosis day, December 2014, like it was yesterday. It was full of overwhelming sorrow, information overload and so many tears, I thought they might just kick me out of the doctor's office.
We've learned a lot since then and try to live in a mindset of gratitude.
Thankful for another day
Thankful for amazing progress in medicines
Thankful for the people that truly get the sad lows and amazing highs this life gifts us.
Thankful for the skilled minds and hands that guide us through necessary surgeries, medicine changes and the adding of "one more" over and over again.
Over the last several years we have been blessed with fundraising that allowed us to donate about $10,000 through T-shirt and water bottle sales to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and to Blair Batson's CF fund.
I failed on the T-shirt sales this year. But you can still click that sign up button, pull out one of your old Ella's Walk t-shirts and come join us this year!
