Goodbyes, or as we like to say, “see you soon’s” gently tug at our hearts, leaving behind memories of those who have deeply touched our lives. The ache of loosing someone dear never truly fades, but as we approach the 5-year anniversary since Blake being able to breathe easy, we’re moved to reflect on his legacy in a different way.
One that makes us pause and think: how can we extend a helping hand to those still battling with Cystic Fibrosis? How can we contribute and help others get more time, or even better, how can we support finding a cure, ensuring that individuals and their loved ones affected by CF can live their lives to the fullest. In honor of Blake, Blake’s Believers will once again be fundraising and participating in the Great Strides walk for Cystic Fibrosis – a cherished tradition close to our hearts.
We understand the importance, in a new way, of continuing to raise money and finding a cure. In doing this, we hope that this may help us keep those special memories with Blake alive and help others and their loved ones who continue every day to fight their battle against Cystic Fibrosis. With this, we extend our heartfelt gratitude in advance for any assistance you can offer. Whether through a donation or by walking alongside us in remembrance of Blake, your support means the world to us.
We hope Blake’s waking up every morning breathing with ease, smiling his big smile, saying “It’s today, it’s today!” while enjoying his video games and a Pepsi. We’re always reminded of the love and joy Blake brought to his family and friends and we hope that this may help us continue to spread that love and joy to others. We love you and miss you, buddy!
