Our Great Strides Story

Justin Lewis Rochester, MN is our why! 

Justin was only 34 when he passed on April 8th 2024. 

At the age of 24 Justin was given a double lung transplant that gave him a new life, Justin ran a 5k less than 6 weeks post transplant! Showing a true heart of a fighter.  

Transplant inspired him to pursue a career as a surgical technician to help others in need of transplant. By 2022 Justin fulfilled his dream to work in the transplant team at the Mayo Clinic helping others receive life saving transplants.

Justin was an amazing personality that enjoyed animals, board games, hiking, gardening, crafts, and general tomfoolery.

Justin always had jokes - funny ones, dad ones, morbid ones and ones that simply made you shake your head ! He worked tirelessly, he gave selflessly, and he loved effortlessly. He knew his time here with us was going to be too short, so he made sure to spend it truly living every chance he got.He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Justin never quit fighting and neither will we. We walk to honor him.
