We are walking on June 3, 2023 and I am excited to join the Annapolis CFF Great Strides at the Navy Stadium. I have lived with cystic fibrosis for over 46 years. I hope to see a cure in my life time. The CFF had made great advancements that have changed my life for the better. I have been blessed to be able to take Trikafta. Trikafta was approved by FDA in 2019 and is a drug that has helped many CF patients live a more normal and less taxing life. It came at a time when I was struggling with my disease and my doctors and famly were nervous about my future. Not all people with CF can take Trikafta and we still need a cure. My sister, Noelle, and I were both born with this terrible genetic disease. This is a very hard disease to deal with everyday. In 1996, Noelle passed away from complications from CF. This photo of me was from an ad campaign in 1988 when the life expectancy was about age 24. As you can see I have outlived the life expectancy back then and I want to continue to out live these expectancies. I have many reasons why I want to live but my number one reason is my beautiful daughter, Stella Noelle. I want to see her grow up and be part of her life for as long as possible. I continue to fight for all people with CF in honor Noelle and all that has lost their fight from this horrific disease. Please help me reach my goal!

There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.

Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease.
