Team Super Lucas

Team Super Lucas will be walking again in Easton to help raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We hope that you will continue to help us with our fight for a cure for CF. Every year brings us closer to that dream because of your support.  We hope that one day, every person with cystic fibrosis will have the chance to live a long, healthy life. You can help make a difference in the lives of all people living with CF.

Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and progressively limits the ability to breathe.

In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick, buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria leading to infections, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. In the pancreas, the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients.

There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I fundraise for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.

Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease.
