Kent Crusaders

Our 11th Great Strides fundraising season is here! We had our first walk, when Co was just 7 months old. Time is flying by. Over the past 10 years, we have watched, participated, fundraised and prayed for advancements and guess what.....we are achieving them. Cohen and Harper are both blessed, to be able to participate in a clinical trial for a new CF modulator medication. Apparently this is even better that the “miracle drug” trikafta and that is mind-blowing to think. This isn't a cure, but it's as close as we've come and is a game changer! There is even talk and working around decreasing and maybe (fingers crossed) stopping some of their therapies!!! What?! This is a direct result  of all of the fundraising for the CFF that has been done over the past 30+ years! Exciting things coming down the pipeline!! We are so grateful.

Harper is very rarely found upright, as she flips and cartwheels, any chance she can get. I should just record myself saying….”we don’t do gymnastics on the furniture,” because it’d be on repeat. 
Likewise, Cohen is very rarely found without a soccer ball, wearing some soccer shirt or jersey, talking about Messi or playing FIFA mobile….a mobile soccer game. For these kids to be as active as they are today, without huge exhaustive efforts on their lungs, would be unimaginable. Now, they are only slowing down when they need a quick electrolyte break, or to go to the bathroom. Otherwise, CF doesn’t stop them from doing what they love and as a parent, isn’t that all we really want? For our children to love what they’re doing and love their life?! I am certain it is! 

 For too long,  CF has stood for Continue Fighting. Our warriors and those that love and care for them, are ready for that to change to Cure Found. We can't do that without you!
