COJO'S AR CHALLENGERS GREAT STRIDES STORY (FOR ST. LOUIS EVENT, CHECK OUT TEAM COJO)
Hi, I'm Connor John Simpson!
I live with my mommy and daddy in St. Louis, but have LOTS of family and friends in Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding area.
I was born in August 2023, and after an emergency surgery on Day 2 due to meconium ileus, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.
The amazing Dr. Coln told my mommy and daddy, "This is not a death sentence. You can do it. There are a lot of other babies here that are worse off than this little guy. He's going to be okay. I promise."
That very day, they went into "Let's Do This" mode.
The reason Dr. Coln was able to say those things is largely due to the work of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The CF Foundation has made extraordinary progress - including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments - but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them.
I'm really lucky - I was born in a time where there are much better treatment options. However, every day is still a fight to feel okay.
I'm still too little to be eligible for the newer treatments that will hopefully make a huge difference with my health.
But instead of just waiting, along with my mommy, daddy and lots of loving family and friends, we fight. We walk. We take Great Strides towards a better future for me and all those affected by CF.
PLEASE COME WALK WITH US AND/OR DONATE.
LET'S DO THIS!
