Our Great Strides Story
Hello all CF advocates,
This year, I am happy to announce that I am once again chairing the CF Great Strides event on May 19, 2018 at Sawyer Point in Cincinnati, OH.
Our event goal this year is $470,000 and I am confident we will meet and exceed this amount. Our team goal is $17,800, up from $14,300 in 2017. We are shooting for the increase as part of the "In It To Cure It" program because we really want to "cure it" once and for all. We are so close.
Our two kids, Alyssa (29) and Tre (23 - he'll be 24 by the walk) both have Cystic Fibrosis Alyssa had to have a second double lung transplant on June 2, 2016 at the University of Kentucky after her first set were rejected. Unfortunately, Alyssa has been in rejection since late summer 2017. It's been very difficutlt as she has fought so hard and has had numerous treatments to stop the rejection. It's just a long fight. Tre has been healthy. He's PFTs are in the mid 90s and he is exercising to stay fit. We thank God for this and appreciate all the prayers and support.
So, with all that said, we are asking for support once again. We understand that this can be a pain to keep receiving these requests, but we hope you understand our plight. CF patients continue to lose their battle to CF and we want to change that course once and for all so each person's Quality Of Life are the same as healthy people. Will you join us? All we need you to do to become a member of our team is click on the "Join our Team" button. From there you can make a donation and start your fundraising.
By becoming a member of our team and making a donation, you are joining a growing group of people committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. Together, we are adding tomorrows to the lives of people living with CF by supporting the search for a cure.
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
Thank you sincerely, Frank, Sue, Alyssa, Tre', Harley, Duncan, and our departed Bo and Coco.
