My Great Strides Story

  • Great Strides 2014

Hi! I'm Kristi and I was born with Cystic Fibrosis. If you didnt know that about me, then it probably explains a lot..like why I am coughing 50% of the time (nope, I'm not a smoker!) and why am "so skinny" despite my ridiculous appetite. By participating or donating, you will be contributing to helping find a cure for this disease as well as more advanced treatment options! Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that I was born with. It may not look like anything is wrong with me on the outside, but CF makes it hard for me to breathe every single day of my life. HOWEVER, a cure for me isn't far away! In fact, real progress has been made lately! Find out more about Cystic Fibrosis at www.cff.org!

Great Strides is an event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families. This year we are walking in Charleston, WV on May 20th! If you would like to attend and help raise money for this cause, just join my team! I would LOVE to have you!! Raising $100 will get you a Great Strides t-shirt, and we also plan to get t-shirts made for our team!

If you aren't able to raise money and attend the walk, then please consider donating! Even $1 is a great donation to help me reach my personal fundraising goal of $5000! (I hit this goal last year, so with your help, I can do it again!). Your gift will help add tomorrows to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis by supporting life-saving research and medical progress. Your gift is 100-percent tax deductible. too.

And as always, money is helpful, but prayers are more amazing, and I cherish those year-round...not just at Great Strides time. So if you can't donate, then pray for us and the research team as we work to find a cure! <3 Lets #CureCF together!
