Help us EXTINGUISH cystic fibrosis while also having a great time at the 37th Annual StairClimb & Firefighter Challenge! This fun-filled fundraising event and festival offers a number of ways to get involved!
The 37th Annual StairClimb & Firefighter Challenge is a unique event where we have 3 events in one. We are looking for 3 types of participants those that are endurance fanatics, firefighters who are philanthropically driven, and those who want to see if they are as FIT AS A FIREFIGHTER!!!
StairClimb – Climbers of all ages and fitness levels can come out and compete and conquer the bleachers at Sun Devil Stadium.

$75.00 Fundraising Minimum
All participants will get to enjoy the festivities including food and beverage, music, kids’ corner, corn hole and massages as well as an event t-shirt!
Civilian Challenge – Looking for an extreme Workout of the Day (WOD) that offers head-to-head competition with some of the most fit and intense firefighting athletes? Often referred to as the toughest 2 minutes in sports, the Civilian Challenge offers participants the ability to compete in what is an exclusive race for firefighters, racing upstairs with a water hose, lowering the hose, moving a steel bar (Kaiser) with a mallet, firing a blazing water hose at a small target and hauling a 185lb dummy 100 feet.
$750 – Fundraising Minimum
Firefighter Relay Challenge - Who among Arizona Firefighters are the fastest & fittest? Firefighters from around the state compete in a relay race based on fire-fighting tasks commonly performed in emergency situations. Spectators are encouraged to cheer on their favorite city as firefighters compete head-to-head to see which department is the fastest & fittest. Firefighter Relay Challenge teams are comprised of 3 firefighters.
$50 – Fundraising Minimum
Spectators - If you are not planning to climb, but instead are coming out to enjoy the event in support of a family member or friend who is climbing, please register as a “spectator” on the registration page.
Registration Fee for Spectators: $5
**NOTE: Children 10 and younger do not need to register for the event.**
Minimum Fundraising Requirement: $75 for general Climbers
Minimum Fundraising Requirement Policy: The minimum fundraising requirement of $75 is due on or before event day. If you have met your minimum fundraising by the day of the event, we encourage you to keep fundraising. Reach for the stars and earn great prizes. Even though the minimum is due by the day of the event you have one month after the event to earn great CF Climb prizes. The average amount a participant raises is $330. Registration fees are non refundable and non transferrable and do not count towards your fundraising minimum. Thank you for adding tomorrows for people with cystic fibrosis.
