What Makes Metro DC’s Xtreme Hike Unique?

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Metro DC Chapter’s Xtreme Hike program takes hikers through some of the most scenic trails in the Shenandoah to raise funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis. Xtreme Hike is about reaching new heights physically and philanthropically. It is a journey of passion, determination, and personal triumph, as much as it is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people with cystic fibrosis.

The Metro DC Chapter’s Xtreme Hike 2019 will be held in beautiful Massanutten, VA. All hikers will enjoy accommodations for three days and two nights at Massanutten resort. This includes an energizing, pre-hike pasta party; pre-hike breakfast; rest stops and food along the trail; a post-hike celebration dinner and an awards breakfast on Sunday. As participants prepare for the physical challenge, hikers are encouraged to raise $2,500 through their personal and social media campaigns.

We pride ourselves on the family-friend nature of our hike. For additional fees, all are welcome to gather with our Xtreme Hike team at Massanutten and celebrate our Hikers’ accomplishments. Let’s celebrate how far we have come for those with cystic fibrosis, and look forward to road ahead, as we find a cure.
