Andrew and Cece’s Army
Our superhero, Andrew, was born November 2, 2013 with an intestinal blockage that required immediate surgery. He had Meconium Ileus, a common complication of CF, that caused the blockage. He had surgery at 8 hours old to remove about 40% of his small intestine and have an ileostomy. He had a second surgery at just 6 weeks old to reconnect his intestines and take down his ileostomy. It took another 6 weeks for him to fully recover from surgery before he was able to gain weight on his own and be discharged from the NICU. Andrew is growing and thriving but faces a lifetime of health issues related to his cystic fibrosis.
We are hopeful that through funding for continued research, Andrew and others with CF will be able to live a long and healthy life!
Please join us in raising money for a cure for CF.
