My Team CF Story
39th Annual Classic Charity Trail Ride
June 7-9th, 2019
I have been given the unique opportunity to be an “Ambassador” for a young woman named “Rosie” who has a disease known as Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis, or CF, is a genetic disease affecting the lungs and digestive systems of children and adults. Thick mucous creates problems breathing and absorbing nutrients from a healthy diet. Despite rigorous daily physical therapies and numerous drugs and doctors’ visits, Rosie is an honors student who is excelling in college. When Rosie was born, 18 years was her life expectancy. Rosie recently celebrated her 20th birthday and thanks to the progress made in CF research her future looks bright. As Rosie’s ambassador I want to ensure research to cure CF continues.
The trail ride is sponsored by the Merrimack Valley Trail Riders and is one of the CF Foundation’s major fund raising efforts in 2018. Our ride donated over $100,000.00 to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation in 2018, (with ninety cents of every dollar going directly to CF research).
Please consider a tax-deductible contribution to help brighten Rosie’s future and the future of thousands of children and adults who live with this disease.
