About Xtreme Hike
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Xtreme Hike program takes hikers through some of the most scenic trails in the Berkshires to raise funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis. Hikers reach new heights physically and philanthropically. It is a journey of passion, determination and personal triumph, as well as the chance to make a difference in the lives of people with cystic fibrosis.
The MASS/RI Chapter’s Xtreme Hike brings us back to the beginning: The Hopper Trail Head. Hikers will enjoy accommodations for three days and two nights at Jiminy Peak Resort. This includes an energizing, pre-hike party, post hike dinner and a “Victory” breakfast on Sunday. As hikers prepare for the physical challenge, they are motivated to raise $2,500 through their personal and social media campaigns. The Xtreme Hike is limited to 75.
The journey of participation includes:
- Three months of training hikes
- Daily workout calendar
- Accommodations for 3 days and 2 nights
- Transportation to and from the trail on Hike day
- Aid stations along the trail stocked with refreshing food and beverages
- Official Xtreme Hike wicking shirt
- Pre-hike pasta partyPost hike dinner and reception
- Victory breakfast
The journey starts the moment you sign up. You will receive personal coaching, participate in training hikes and connect with a community of people who share your aspiration to reach new heights. Learn about Xtreme Hike events across the country.
