About Xtreme Hike
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Xtreme Hike program takes hikers through some of the most scenic trails in the nation to raise funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis.
The Greater Illinois Chapter's Xtreme Hike, is a pledge based fundraising, 21 mile, day hike. Hikers explore the scenic terrain of the North Country Trail and Manistee River Loop in the Manistee National Forest. All hikers will enjoy accommodations for three days/two nights at the reknown Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa. This includes an energizing, pre-hike pasta party, a post-hike "finisher" BBQ, and a victory/awards brunch. In order to participate, hikers are encouraged to raise a minimum of $2,500 in pledges through their personal and social media campaigns. Group training hikes and clinics are held monthly around the Chicagoland area starting in May. Xtreme Hike is limited to 35 hikers, so reserve your spot today!
