Wisconsin Xtreme Hike 2017

About Xtreme Hike

Welcome to the 5th Annual Wisconsin Xtreme Hike. Since 2013, our hikers have traversed over 3,600 miles of the Ice Age Trail (IAT) and have raised $500,000 toward finding a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF). We are excited to bring our hike back to the challenging trails through Devil's Lake State Park. Featuring rolling prairies, wooded slopes, dense forests, balanced rock stairs and stone steps, this landscape carved by glaciers epitomizes the physical and philanthropic challenge of Xtreme Hike. We celebrate the beauty of Wisconsin and take on the challenging task of creating a better future for people fighting CF.

The Wisconsin Xtreme Hike will take place over the weekend of September 29, 30 and October 1, with 30 miles of trail to be conquered on Saturday. With seasoned hike guides, support staff and aid stations every 4-6 miles, our hikers face this challenge together with the tools to succeed. Over the weekend, you will enjoy accommodations for three days and two nights at Devil's Head Resort which includes our classic Friday night pasta party, our post hike blow-out dinner celebration and our ‘victory’ brunch on Sunday.

Cystic fibrosis is a life-shortening disease which requires our commitment to find a cure. Xtreme Hike embodies this challenge in mind, body and soul. While we prepare physically for Xtreme Hike, we also challenge ourselves to raise individual amounts of $2,500 with a state goal of $140,000. We hike for those that physically can’t and we raise funds to give the opportunity for all CF patients to lead full and productive lives.

The journey of participation includes:
10 weeks of training hikes starting July 22nd
Training, work out, and hiking coaches
Direct interaction with CF parents and patients
