About Xtreme Hike
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Xtreme Hike program takes hikers through some of the most scenic trails in the nation to raise funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis.
In 2013 the VA chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation celebrated its inaugural Xtreme Hike with a one-day 31 mile hike on the Massanutten Trail. Led by experienced hiker Corey Snyder as well as other volunteers, 30 dedicated hikers participated in the event and over $55,000 was raised!
As part of the commitment to Xtreme Hike, registered hikers are requested to fundraise for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The suggested fundraising minimum is $2,500 per hiker. Cystic Fibrosis Foundation staff is available to assist with fundraising plans.
The staff, committee members and volunteers are looking forward to another phenomenal event and we hope you'll consider becoming a part of it!
Xtreme Hike is about reaching new heights — physically and philanthropically. It’s a journey of passion, determination and personal triumph, as much as it’s an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people with CF.
The journey starts the moment you sign up. You will receive personal coaching, participate in training hikes and connect with a community of people who share your aspiration to reach new heights. Learn about Xtreme Hike events across the country.
