My Great Strides Story
Twenty years. It is hard to believe that on January 5, 1998 I began working at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I knew the moment I learned about the CF Foundation in 1997 that I was meant to be here. CF has been my passion for a very long time. I was introduced to cystic fibrosis when I was 10 years old. My good friend, Tressa, lost her battle with CF our Freshman year of HS. Her life was cut way too short and that has stayed with me to this day.
1998 also meant the introduction to my friend Allison Villalobos. It is crazy to think that she was only 9 years old when we first met. She is now a college graduate and married to the love of her life. She has definitely had many challenges because of this awful disease but she continues to fight and we fight for her by raising money for a cure. She is just one of the many reasons I love what I do. The CF Foundation continues to make progress in helping all patients with CF and will not stop until it is done.
I would like to ask you to celebrate 20 years with me by making a donation to our Great Strides team. Allison and I have set a goal of $20,000 for our 20 years of friendship. We hope you will consider donating $20, $120, $220....you see where we are going with this, right? Making a donation is easy and secure. Just click the donate buttom to make a donation that will support our team. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated. Your support will help fuel lifesaving CF programs.
