Team Greer is participating in Great Strides Minneapolis 2018 to help raise money for the fight against Cystic Fibrosis. This cause is very important to our family as Troy battles this disease on a daily basis.
Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening, genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. There have been many recent advancements in treatments and medications. All of which have helped Troy reach his 40's in good health and with great accomplishments. Unfortunately, many adults and children lose the battle to CF on a daily basis.
We need your support to help find a cure. Great Strides is the foundation's largest national fundraising event, with hundreds of other walks taking place across the country this year.
Please support our team by making a donation. We also welcome anyone who would like to join us on the day of the event. The walk will take place on Saturday May 5th at Lake Calhoun (10:00am). We will provide a complimentary green "TEAM GREER" shirt! This is a family-friendly event and we invite all who are interested to join us. Bring children, strollers, scooters or pets! If interested, click on the link to "join my team".
Life is busy and Minnesota May weather can be a bit unpredictable. So if you are unable to join our team, please help us reach our fundraising goal by donating to our Great Strides fundraising campaign. Your gift is 100-percent tax deductible.
Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
Regularly wash hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Maintain a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection.
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
