On Saturday, May 4th, my family will be walking around Bde Maka Ska (Lake Calhoun) for the 25th year. We would love it if you are able to join us for this event. Our goal this year is to raise $8,000 to help further research for CF. If you can’t walk with us, please consider making a tax-deductible donation.
Thank you in advanced for supporting this important cause. Each year they continue to advance the drug pipeline in finding new treatments for those of us suffering with Cystic Fibrosis. Last month they announced that they have another promising new drug that treats the underlying cause of CF that has shown great results in clinical trials. They will be submitting this drug for FDA approval later this year, and hope to have approval in the beginning of 2020.
None of the advancements in treatments would be possible without the generous donations from you! Thank you for your ongoing support and helping bring hope to all of us that suffer with Cystic Fibrosis, so that one day CF will stand for Cure Found!
Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
Regularly wash hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Maintain a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection.
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
